A 3-row roller bearing with special sealing and an outside diameter of about 1.5 m is used in 15 m  water depth  to shift the blades of a – up to now – unique tidal stream system in Great Britain.

With this way of generating energy  the whole system, therefore the blade bearings as well,  are continuously exposed to the tidal streams.
