Slewing Rings for renewable energies

As the first company in the slewing ring industry IMO Energy has specialized exclusively on supplying system manufacturers in the renewable energy sector.

IMO is one of the world's leading manufacturers of single-row and double-row ball slewing rings used as blade and yaw bearings, as well as for azimuth gear rims to a diameter of 5,200 mm.

These are used for onshore and offshore wind turbines in the 100 kW to 7+ MW range. Roller slewing rings from IMO are in use as single main bearings for gear- and shaftless wind turbines.

Construction of the first commercially-operated tidal stream system off the coast of Northern Ireland attracted worldwide attention. At a water depth of more than 20 m IMO slewing rings are in use as blade bearings under extreme pressure ratios and environmental conditions.

IMO Energy is a member of the  BWE (German WindEnergy Association),   AWEA (American Wind Energy Association).
